How to Pick a Seedbox
There are many factors to consider when comparing seedbox providers and plans. Budget, storage, speed, and provider reputation all play a big part.
Depending on how you want to use your seedbox, it will have to be stronger in some areas more than others. If you’re strictly using it for seeding and storage, the size will probably be high on your list. If you’re a bigtime Plex user storage AND speed will be factors.
Personally, I love Plex and being able to store and stream my favorite TV shows and movies. I’m currently using the Dediseedbox Netherlands Small Plan. For $15 a month it gives me 1TB of storage, unlimited transfers, Plex and other apps. Not to mention it’s pretty damn quick.
There really is a plan for every budget and need. There are great seedbox plans for under $10 a month. I believe all of the plans listed are month to month so if you’re not happy with a service it’s pretty easy to switch to a new one. The biggest pain in the ass is transferring your data to the new box.
Hopefopefully this seedbox comparison tool helps you narrow down a plan that fits all of your requirements. If you have any suggestions, updates or reviews of the seedbox providers above please leave a note in the comments!

Things to Consider When Comparing Seedboxes
Storage – You can almost always add more storage to any seedbox plan. However when comparing seedboxes, if your budget allows I recommend always getting a little more storage than you think you need.
It sounds crazy but once you get your seedbox up and running the whole thing gets a little addicting. It gives you options to listen to a band you may not have otherwise considered, or discover a movie that you normally would have passed on.
Especially if you are running Plex and wanting to set up a good-sized streaming media seedbox I would recommend at least 1TB of storage. That should give you plenty of room to get a good collection of your favorite movies, TV, courses or music. It’s what I started with and I actually hit the halfway mark pretty quickly.
Speed – When making your seedbox comparison, speed will be an important factor to consider. A seedboxes speed refers to how quickly it sends and receives data to the rest of the internet (how quickly you can leech/seed). It does not refer to the speed that you can download from the seedbox to your home CPU.
The most common speeds that you will see with seedbox plans are 100mps, 1gbps, and 10gbps. In my opinion, faster is always better.
One of the reasons I got my first seedbox was to improve my ratio on a couple of private trackers that I belong to. I love putting up a new torrent and watching my ratio go through the roof.
That being said, when it comes to speed vs storage you will notice some tradeoffs among seedbox providers.
Faster speeds are usually associated with smaller storage and vice versa. That is not always the case but for the hobby, seedbox enthusiast wanting to keep the budget between $15 and $20 it tends to hold true.
